The Test Systems Development Team for Aerospace and Commercial Sectors

The GVIRL Engineering team in Huntsville (formerly the Wyle Laboratories Engineering group), The GVIRL Engineering team in Huntsville (formerly the Wyle Laboratories Engineering group), brings a legacy of expertise and results in designing, building and deploying specialized test systems to the GVIRL network.

This group of engineers is the premier test system development team for our aerospace and commercial partners; performing unique test stands that are custom-engineered to your specific needs. And they’ve built test stands for more than 60 government, commercial and foreign customers. From triaxial electrodynamic shaker, to C-17 landing gear test rigs, to our newest creation the “Monster Machine” wave simulator, this is your go-to team for test machines of all shapes and sizes.

Your Solution, Your Way!

What are your program needs? What are your preferred standards? We take a pliable approach to providing testing systems, facilities and services to accommodate your distinct parameters. We have experience with military and commercial standards that apply to the development of test-related machines and facilities.

Standards include but are not limited to:

  • MIL-STD-882
  • ISO/IEC 12207
  • UK DEF-STANS
  • AFI99-103
  • ANSI/EIA-748
  • MIL-STD-1839
  • ISO/IEC 15288:2008
  • MIL-STD-810
  • FMVSS 200 Series
  • NRTL
  • MIL-STD-1809
  • ISO/TS 16949
  • DoD 6055.9-STD
  • AFMAN 91-201

Start-to-Finish Test System Development

When your project rolls into GVIRL Huntsville, you’ll have a dedicated Program Management team working through the design, materials acquisition, subcontractor management (when needed) and on-going project surveillance and status reporting. We’ll work with you to define all requirements and conduct preliminary engineering analysis, and then the build begins. Using ANSYS® and SOLIDWORKS for Finite Element Analysis, SOLIDWORKS 3D for CAD modeling and AutoCAD 2D drafting, our engineers produce precision design to inform error-averse production. Once construction is completed, our team will verify performance to spec, as well as provide operational manuals and thorough training to your team.
